Emergency services? More helicopters?

How long before Augusta folds into Portland? Then, Portland into Boston?

Is this the wave of the future? Just regional hospitals?

Who ARE we spoiling here? Certainly not prospective patients. They will die enroute to Augusta, in some cases.

Not all want to go to Inland. Unless Inland opens its doors fully to all physicians. And expands.

I am missing something here in this decision?report abuse

Is everyone here commenting a doctor? Seems to me the only people are those that work at the hospital themselves should respond here. Mav.report abuse

Something else north of Augusta. I certainly hope it will be a lot easier to get to than the Cancer Center.
Inland will look good compared to going to Augusta. What are the outlaying towns suppose to do?
All of the doctors will probably not want to travel to Augusta especially now with gas being what it is.
I hope over the years Augusta has gotten better that it used to be. I never wanted to go there.report abuse

So far, none of the stories in the KJ address the issue: what about the Emergency Room? Is there really no difference in effectiveness between the two locations?I don't see how that can be possible, but until the KJ includes some expert opinion on the subject, who's to know?report abuse
