Um, my point, Judith, was that most people wouldn't have to do some pointless campaign softshoe act in order to figure out how people are doing.

Most people (myself included) know how bad the current climate is because we're living in it, and because we know how our friends and neighbors are doing.

So instead of running around like an airhead doing photo ops, I prefer a candidate to be holding serious discussions with voters all over the district, finding out how their next Representative can help. You know, what Chellie's been doing for the last year.report abuse

To mst77, you just don't get it do you. He is saying that he understands peoples' everyday problems and does this so that he and they can relate to each other. It's not a ploy, it's good sound campaigning. Where is Pengree, having cocktails at the country club with the snobs?report abuse

The 30 jobs shtick is cute, but that's all. If he really didn't understand the difficulties of working people until he did their job for an hour, then he's pretty out of touch with working Mainers.

We deserve better.report abuse
