Or invest in a tankless on demand hot water heater. It will pay for itself.Older hot water heaters are like keeping your oven preheated all the time, untill you are ready to bake.It makes no sense at all. There should be a tax incentive for upgrading to this system like this. This technology has exsisted for years now and should be the norm in every household upgrade, especially those who currently use boilers.I cant imagine having to burn oil in the summer months, what a bummer it must be.There are ways Mainers can save huge dollars in heating costs. Its time we get real about it.You can insulate, caulk and plastic windows till your blue in the face but the bottom line is ,we all need to upgrade to these new technologies and leave behind what worked in the past but no longer works. The future is already here.report abuse
