Tom Allen is not qualified to represent Maine in the U.S. Senate, and I hope voters won't fall for his false promises. Since Tom Allen wanted to go on vacation, instead of working to solve our looming energy crisis, he should go on a permanent vacation from his so-called public service.

Susan Collins deserves to keep her seat in the Senate. Go Susan Collins!report abuse

Allen went right along with his peers and went on a five-week vacation at the height of the fuel price crisis. Had congress voted to lift the ban on offshore drilling then the fuel prices would have started falling immediately at twice the drop that just lifting the presidential ban on offshore drilling caused.

Reason for the reduction in fuel prices...speculators cautious about future increased supplies of oil. Palozi and her ilk including Allen are the reason why we are so reliant on foreign oil today since the dems have prevented offshore exploration, mining of clean domestic coal and prevented wind farms in scenic areas or off the coast of Cape Cod.

Nuclear Power....forget about it. You won't see Rep. Allen getting behind anything nuclear.report abuse

I find it strange how he wants to listen to the people now. A couple of years ago Allen was at my work place and i tried to speak to him and he blew me off. I would never vote for him. He is saying just what people want to hear and if he gets in office it is all forgotten.report abuse
