There is no dry firewood down here. Some cut in the Spring.
The Northeast has bought all the wood stoves in the country. People started to buy in June and haven't stopped. Prices went up in August because of the cost of steel and iron. Some stove companies are back ordered thru December.
You are going to see a hugh drop in usage of home heating oil.report abuse

Unless they cut dead trees, this wood will not be ready to burn this year. Hope they don't give it to people that want to burn it in fireplaces.report abuse

Oh, blue eyes, come down off the high horsey now, there, sweet cheeks! It was just a little joke. And you're right, all the lazy good for nothing welfare bums WILL freeze to death before I cut their wood for them!! My 5 cords are already stacked between the basement and the shed, I can't wait for the snow and the cold! means it's snowmobiling time!!
But, hey, if times are tight for you this winter, give me a holler right through here and I'll gladly give you a week or so worth of wood..you just let me know, there, sweet cheeks!report abuse
