Irving just opened an LNG terminal in St Johns.
LNG is a very small part of our market.
The Northeast gas shortage is during the winter when the pipelines can't handle to demand and storage is getting low.
Lots of noise about Boston and the LNG shipments.
Same here in Fall River about new terminal.report abuse
From your confusing reply it sounds like you are trying to say that Algeria supplies LPG when natural gas supplies are low. That may be true but according to the Energy information Administration "Most of the natural gas used in the United States comes from domestic gas production. The remainder comes from imports, primarily from Canada". They also state that during periods of lower use excess gas is stored for use later.
As for the need for LPG, it is dwindling as new sources of natural gas are discovered. For example in August Challenger Energy of Canada announced a find off Trinidad expected to produce 200 million cubic feet per day. This is in addition to the finds in Canada made almost every year.report abuse
I new LNG terminal in the south is not being used because of the high price of NLG.
Boston shipments are in half.report abuse
