When I was in the Navy, I observed an officer in the Captains Gig get knocked overboard and knocked out as he went. The $1000 walkie-talkie he had in his hand went to Davy Jone's Locker, but he was wearing a life jacket and was pulled to safety. I too would like to see it a law that every one in a boat must have not only the jacket on, but secured properly.report abuse

It is time to change the law to make it a requirement to have to wear the life vest/jacket, not just have it in the boat.....report abuse
