It would be nice if it were possible to walk in a natural setting and actually hear the sounds of nature. Maine spends more advertising a quiet natural environment then insuring we have one. washington state has a natural sound park, but in maine the only green that really counts is in the billfold, and why going to all the effort of protecting the environment when you can advertise it instead with music to drown out any noise?report abuse

I dont think its the technology it is the person.My aging parents both have cell phones and both text and email but when they upgraded to a dvd from vhs I recieved a call from my mother stating that she couldnt get "the thing to rewind the movie"report abuse

There is still hope for you, Mr. Offer, techno-wise.

I was just at a family reunion, and had a brief conversation with my 85-year-old uncle. He was busily recording my name and address and such data in his PDA. And he told me how he uses the PDA to check his e-mail, preferring that method to using one of his desktop computers.

Maybe, Mr. Offer, you still have time to catch up with technology.report abuse
