Hey Doris, If, if , if. If a black hole hits you too bad. If a comet hits your house, too bad. If, if, if. Let's stop trying to predict if, if, if.report abuse

If my head smacks the pavement and I'm not wearing a helmet, my brains will be splattered all over the road. I'd hate to have that happen. I think it's a good idea to wear a helmet; and I think if you don't wear one and your brains end up on the road, you'll be sorry.report abuse

Whatever happened to "common sense" when it comes to riding?

I got tossed off my bike in 97 while riding at 40 mph, was not wearing a helmet but had a jacket, boots and jeans on and still came away with some wicked "road rash".
I was lucky that day.
I wear my helmet when riding with my wife or when its bad weather ie. rain, cold.

When I see people in shorts,no shirts, sandals and no eye protection I just shake my head, say a little prayer for them in hopes they "smarten up" before its too late.

But everyone has to learn their own hard lessons I guess.report abuse
