Since no one sees fit to drill here and tap in to our own resources. Since the left-wingers block every alternative offered... don't you think it's time we stop consuming so much?
Until and if the state decides it's time to let loose of it's strangle hold over companies that want to erect wind turbines and dams I think it's best just to do away with HEAP all together.

No nuclear plants, few hydro-electric facilities, no liquid natural gas terminals and an aging infrastructure all contribute to our energy problems.
Environmental groups continue to lobby to block wind turbines (even at the individual level) and use of alternate sources of heat including wood pellets.
Local ordinances such as the one we saw in action recently even block the use of wind turbines in many towns. Use of alternative heat sources such as wood pellets are the target of environmentalists because in their minds it promots forest harvesting in order to arrive at the biomas needed to make the pellets.
