So gee who IS paying for these ads?
Inquiring minds want to know? why isn't the KJ telling??
and where is the union response to the ads?report abuse
The proposed ordinace simplifies the unionizing effort by making what was a 2-step process into a 1- step process. It eliminates the time in between the card collecting and the vote. That eliminates the time that employers can organize and hold employees captive in mandated anti union meetings to bully employers about the evils of unions. The only one doing the bullying in the past, under the old system, was the employer.
See how twisted the ads are? Bet you wouldn't have guess that's what the new provision would do. Quite different then what the ads suggest HUH?? It doesn't eliminate the secret ballot. It eliminates the vote and the time that employers need to organize to do their bullying against the vote.
When someone can "afford " to run ads endlessly that is evidence they represent the BIG money interst not the little guy's interest.
Does anyone really believe that it is TOM allen who is anti union and sue collins who is pro union? Gee that thought is pretty hard to get your head around --Which is what the ads in their twisted way implies. Too bad it's the opposite of what the provision actually does.
BUT if they presented the employer's as the bully well--they and Collin's (the intended beneficiary of the ad) would loose!!!
Don't be fooled by the ad .It the same ole mind bending , fear mongering approach you would expect from the Big MONEYed anti union R supporter's. They can afford the better ads.
There are weapons of mass destructions--- ooops, well not really!!! Mission accomplished ---well not really. Twisting reality. Taking away the secert ballot--well ...They call it good PR. I call it LYING. A lie of ommision--not exactly telling the whole truth. A technical lie. BUT lying...none the less.report abuse
You are absolutely right,it will take some very courageous lawmakers to fix this growing bi-partisan problem. It's time for some "real change" in both Maine and the entire USA.
My whole life,I have never understood that if all Americans are for peace ,happiness and equal justice, why we have to have Dems and Reps. It makes no sense. We are all Americans in search of the same things, so, we should have only one party, the United Party!report abuse
