With Wyke moving on to UMS, can Baldacci be far behind?

Watch out UMS and state taxpayers - those two combined to centralize information technology, human resources and accounting services within state government and render them larger, more expensive and less responsive to their customers than before they were consolidated.

The $53 million lost on a dysfunctional Medicaid payment system and the $13 million lost on the MainSail II investment are just the most visible or this administrations confusion between "good ideas" and financial expertise. Unfortunately, it will be years after Baldacci leaves before the "benefits" of these "reforms" can be undone.report abuse
