When a landlord takes on that role it is his/her responsiblity to keep them up to code and maintain them just like any other home owner. But then again some of the people that rent them have no respect for other peoples property and destroy them faster than they can be maintained. Rick of Winslow, ME I think the Mayor wrote a good letter and he provides a forum, at meetings in the library for example, for residents to vent their frustrations instead of some of the personal attacks displayed here. He's not getting rich working for the city and it's as much YOUR city as it is his, so I suggest you all get personally involved and discuss your issues face-to-face.report abuse

nonya bisns of taxed, ME Roger Katz you know you're not doing a great job when you're the one patting yourself on the back. I noticed your friend didn't write the article to say that he thought you were doing such a great job.
Maybe you can get a few more large chain type stores to open on your already overcrowded rotaries you can completely drive everyone away from the downtown area, and towards your more favored hot spot box stores and run all of the "little guys" out of town.report abuse
