Hey, I wonder if we are going to get on someone's "black" list by "thanking" Baldacci for the incredible words of wit.

I suppose we can do away with at least 50% of the welfare programs in this state, and kick some those lazy folks in the a55 and tell THEM to get some "Yankee ingenuity". That could kill THREE birds with one stone. Our lazy fellow Mainers will work, our tax burden will decline, and we can do away with some of the over-burden of politicians in Augusta.
Oh, excuse me, I didn't think about where these Mainers will find a job, nor did I address where the out-of-work politicians will get a job, etc. Well, I had to sacrifice being with family and drove truck coast-to-coast for 20 years; I am sure many of these welfare folks could find something similar.
maybe I am making no sense, but I am really P.O.ed at the amount of money I have to pay this state in taxes just to hear this Governor tell me to use "Yankee ingenuity".report abuse

We should all button our houses up this winter and head to warmer states. I have to work for a few more years and then that's just what I'm doing. I've had enough... Maine won't get ANY OF MY TAX DOLLARS then. It's sad. I've lived her my entire life and the longer I do, the more disgusted I get with politics and the "powers that be".report abuse

Does this governor ever really want to do anything but talk? I cannot think of anything he has done but stand outside failing businesses and have his picture taken. He should be impeached for mismangement of the resources of Maine and failure to provide for health and safety during a state emergency which is what heating homes this winter will be...............
I will be sure to talk to the oil delivery guy about how to use less oil or the CMP guy on how to use less electricity....
Does the governor think we are idiots?report abuse
