Dave - these capsules are designed and intended for AF 4-Star generals. Andrews AFB has a whole fleet of VIP planes for members of Congress to fly in - which is why something like this is causing controversy since those planes can also be used for General Officers. These capsules would fit inside cargo planes so that when the General Officers fly to Iraq with troops, they'd be in a private compartment away from 'ordinary troops' - another bone of contention.report abuse

Read up on the units and learn what the KJ hasn't told you. The description of the modules, the price, the number ordered and the source of the funding - all a lie.
These things are, self-contained seating units that fit in to a military cargo aircraft.
