People who break in knowing no one is home are a different breed than those who knowingly enter an occupied home. Home invasions escalate; thank the Lord this man is off the street and will get a decent (long) sentence. Yea for the Maine judge!report abuse

The time commuted was too much but is probably necessary because of annual cost to house these scum is very high. This is not justice for anybody because these people are repeat offenders and in 8 -12 years they will again destroy someone elses lives. I honestly think its about time we plumb the prisons with gas lines and exterminate the lot of em when the facility becomes full. What is the value of a life? If it's a "hardcore" prisoner it's $0 (the same value they place on you - their victims)report abuse
