"It was vetoed by Bush twice, and I think that shows where priorities lie."
...what a fool she is! Go to the national www.heritagefoundation.org site and READ the research on the bill the president THANKFULLY vetoed. Just because more money may (or may not) be needed for children's healthcare does NOT make the proposed legislation the correct legislation (& in this case it was NOT). When CAN govt run anything better than private groups?

How about this foolish group getting upset and changing MaineCare so that the growing baby's father's income is COUNTED when eligibility is assessed (especially when he & the woman say he IS the father). Talk about a state giving people a reason NOT to marry! Yeah, let's keep woman & children poor and then ask for more taxes on the working families in this country who made good choices in life;) You want more $$$ for Mainecare?...CHANGE HOW ELIGIBILITY IS ASSESSED!report abuse

Isn't it ironic that they fail to mention how much the State of Maine owes hospitals under this program. It fails in many respects to identify problems that Maine currently has. This report is not acceptable under the guise of health care.report abuse
