In years past there was a balance of members on the school board. Now I understand that balance is no longer and all members all very liberal. It's obvious to me that the board has lost it's way (3 votes all no!!). The board needs to recognize that the economy and fuel costs are real concerns of people. Any increase to the school budget that affects a person's budget can't be accepted any longer.
The biggest problem with the Country Club on the hill is no one has ever said "NO". Well now we've said "NO" three times.
Here's a little advice for the school board for the next vote...DON"T have the audacity to put a box on the bottom of the ballot for "Higher" or "LOWER". We've voted it down 3 times because we want it "LOWER"!!!
You got the message yet! LOWER, LOWER, CUT expenses.report abuse
I paid property taxes for 10 years before I had a child; I paid for the 18 years she was in school, and I paid again for the 10 years since.
If the only people who paid school taxes were those with children, they'd have to come up with over $7,000 per year per child. Let's see how well you'd like THAT tax bill!
Stop complaining, because others paid for YOUR education.report abuse
