Doesn't this make you think twice about Rowe for governor? We've just had eight years of secrecy and smoke-and-mirrors with Bush/Cheney. Do we want the same kind of government in Maine?report abuse

I would think, in all fairness, that when DNA from another person, State said a male person, was found under the victim's fingernails, that this would be grounds for a new trial. So, why is the State refusing to let Deschaine have a new trial? Also, fingerprints were found on the Henkle's door knob to their house and on the hood of Deschaine's truck that were not his, this NEVER came out at trial. Why is the State of Maine not being fair to this man? They do not want to eat crow or what? The State of Maine knows who the alternate suspect is and also that he was involved with the victim's family in a child molestation case and they know where he lives. He has been ordered to turn over his DNA four times and so far has escaped this order. In all fairness, once again, shouldn't the State of Maine bring this guy in for questioning and get his DNA. If there is nothing to hide in the investigation the three "HAND_PICKED" attorneys did, why not turn it all over? Something sure is amiss here and I hope to live long enough to see Deschaine exornorated.report abuse

Sounds like the AG's Office is taking a leaf from the Bush/Cheney playbook.report abuse

It would seem obvious that if the report were to show that the right person was convicted of the crime, then they would have no problem with releasing that report. The fact that they refuse to release it to the public, would seem to me, that there is something they don't want the public to see. Something ain't right here . .report abuse
