How will people treat me if I am seen as mentally ill?

Your sentence is fun to address. Thank you for the opportunity.

How will people treat me if I am seen to be obese? Or Jewish? Or African American? Or Irish? Or Italian American? Or Gay? Or..., or ..., or ...?

Put any descriptor in the sentence, the answer is the same: Depends entirely on the person. They may limit themselves to the single descriptor, or they may see ME. They may respond with a trained prejudice, or they may see ME.

The real issue in your question is 1. What training will they respond to? 2. From where does it originate? and 3. Is it positive or negative?

And of course, what training are we ourselves providing? For in reality we are each "trainers."
