The city has no business monitoring lawns and homes around town making sure that they conform to some set of guidelines developed by the city. Neighbors offended by a neighbor's collection of lawn ornaments or length of grass growth can pursue action legally should they decide to do so.
This is another act of bringing in more government control. What we need is less government and smarter home owners.report abuse

So the city of Augusta is planning to "regulate" people's lawns while the State Government has chosen to treat the "lawn" in front of the DEP building on the AMHI campus as a field, and not mow it so as to reduce the carbon footprint. This "lawn" is within the Augusta City Limits. Nice approach---Mow your lawn!!! Unless you're the State Government...then, never mind.report abuse
