It doesn't matter in the long run. If we keep sending 700 billion dollars a year overseas for foreign oil, we will be bankrupt in a short time. There will be NO jobs to go to.report abuse

What Augusta needs is a trolly-like bus that picks people up throughout the city, follows a typical route (no special routes or stops), runs on a hard schedule throughout the city daily and allows people who would use it daily to purchase a monthly pass. This would benefit everyone and reduce traffic greatly on city streets. If one could walk to the designated stops and know they would be picked up at a certain time to return to it, more people would use it. This would especially benefit those who cannot afford taxi fair just to go to the grocery store or doctors. I know a few disabled people who just need a ride to Togus or Hannaford and would like to get out more, even if it's just to spend the afternoon sitting at the park. Now is the time for something like this with shopping centers scattered in various places throughout the city.report abuse
