Nonny1 of Gainesville, FL DAREDEVIL, Maine doesn't want their young girls/women to marry. With Mainecare, if they marry, the baby's father's income is counted toward eligibility. But if they're not married (and even if both of them say he's the father of the unborn baby), his income is NOT counted toward eligiblity. Therefore, he can be wealthy and it doesn't matter; she'll still qualify for Mainecare at taxpayers' expense!

daredevil of madison, ME I personaly do not want kids to go hungry or the elderly,but you have many society suckers out there who know how to bleed the system.look at the earned income tax credit these unwed mothers get.why should they get married when they have a live-in boyfreind who often makes good money.they get food stamps and every other government hand out possible.they took 18,000 thousand out of me last year and i got very little back becouse the society suckers get my money becouse of froud,thats what it is froud.report abuse
