Well said, Nonny. However, you forget one thing about the women as victims routine. Without a victim, all these social service agencies who cater to various victims would not be needed. All these non-profits that suck on the public teat for funding would no longer be necessary. So, you see, the woman as victim is a social necessity. Otherwise, too many otherwise useless people would wind up on the unemployment line.report abuse

It's not girls I am worried about. As a high school teacher, I am worried about boys! Girls are now staying in school and graduating. Boy are not! Girls have an advantage in college admissions that most boys do not, due to gender. Older girls are in college at record numbers. Older boys are not. Should this trend continue, it will be women who will soon hold the top spots in all jobs that require college degrees. And with Title 9, girls sports have taken off while many colleges have cut boys sports programs in order to skirt compliance rules. In other words, Title 9 was a wonderful and NEEDED ruling, but it is being abused and the only ones benefitting from it are girls. I also worry that programs that usually target girls are offered by feminists who STILL like to tell girls they are VICTIMS. Anyone in this country can and will succeed with hard work and determination. If you don't believe that, just look at the Chinese immigrants who come here knowing no English. They work long hours at low wages in hot kitchens. The Asians immigrants in this country are some of the most successful Americans. As the mother of both a girl and a boy (both equally bright and hard-working), it is my Caucasian son who is at a disadvantage. Let's not continue to see girls as victims...
