Tom Chambers of Gorham, ME continued from what i think will be below.

this has already gotten longer than i had planned.
as i was saying,i'm not into the occult/paranormal or anything like that, i'm not some sort of "ghost hunter" nor am i the kind of guy that would just get on here and tell some made up ghost story. but what happened was real.
i know what i saw. and no, i don't need any comments about big macs as funny as that was (not)
but if anyone knows anything about this woman or just has anything intellegent to say about this experience i'd be very interested in hearing.
if youve read this far thanks for taking the time and for your patience.i guess i was kind of venting here as i haven't told many people about this as some might feel i'm losing my mind.
one last note: this lady was not what i'd think of when i think of ghosts.
she was not transparent or (milky) she was not levitating or floating across the road. she looked as material as someone youd meet on the street and she was walking-slowly- but walking.

Tom Chambers of Gorham, ME let me start by saying that i'm a (normal) guy.
but what happened to me on the morning of april 28 2008 was not normal.
i don't use drugs,legal or otherwise.and was stone cold sober on that morning with plenty of rest the night before.
i am a delivery truck driver and every monday morning around 3:30 i am in the Gardiner area and have been every monday for about 3 years now.
on that morning i exited interstate 295 at the gardiner exit and took a right onto rte.201 towards gardiner.it was a little foggy but not real bad.about a mile and a half from the intestate i could see something in the road maybe 100 yards or so ahead.
i thought it was probably a deer but with the fog i really couldn't tell so i started to slow down. as i got closer i could see that it was a woman in a white robe crossing the road. I thought that to be kinda weird....a woman at 3:30 am out here with very few houses around,none actually in the immediate vacinity.
she never looked at me (i never saw her face) and i was thinking "pretty stupid to cross the road without even looking especially with a big truck bearing down on you"
she didn't hurry just walked across from my left to right at a slight angle with her back to me.
i was close enough now to see that she was barefoot and it was chilly out.i started to feel something was not right,other than the obvious,and i just had a "weird" feeling.she got across the road and started walking down the breakdown lane.
i looked to my left to see if there was a car off the road or other people or something going on from where she had came but there was nothing.
it was a quick glance,a second or two at most. when i looked back she was gone.
there was no time for her to have ran into the woods or hidden...actually nowher to hide just the breakdown lane and a shallow ditch.
i have been on the internet trying to see if i could find any info about this woman. i am convinced i saw a ghost. i've never experienced anything like this. i'm not into the oreport abuse

Solid of Winthrop, ME A good ghost story makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Creepy stuff, but it makes for a good read.report abuse
