I love hearing that the children of the area are being exposed to art from the outside. That's one thing I missed growing up in Maine. What a great program!

Not sure if the Catholic churches in the Augusta area are taking part in this, but many are nationwide (hopefully the diocese that handles Ausgusta will)....there are many South American co-ops led by widows who make arts and crafs along with picking coffee beans. The co-op wares are brought to the U.S. thru the churches and sold here. 100% of the money is returned to help the people of those improvised areas.report abuse
