Fern Clark is a cantankerous old pain, I am sure the powers that be felt it was better to leave her alone rather than face her sometimes off the wall wrath.report abuse

Worley should be fired. Too many animals suffered because she took too long - it's been how long since Feb 2005? - to bring the matter to court. Animals suffered needlessly while Worley say on her behind waiting for a felony to finally develop.

Jesse Turner, if she's still in her position with Somerville, also needs to be fired. She should never have issued any license without the requisite inspection. She can complain all she wants about not being allowed entry, but if an inspection is required then she has the power by refusing a license.

I hope the animals left in that pigpen are in better situations now.report abuse

Thank Norma Worley and the staff at Animal Welfare for doing a great job of finally taking the puppy mill industry of Maine to task. They are doing the hard work of gathering the necessary evidence to make cases stick and that is not easy after cleaning up years of the good old boy network of clean up your act and I will look the other way until the next inspection. I hope the municipal inspections have the same bite when they issue "kennel" licenses and we will be taking a step forward. Dog/Cat Breeding should not be considered an easy way to make money at the suffering of the animals.report abuse
