DOT needs to get its act together and do something about the poor transit system. Stop sitting on its hands.

The transit system is the worst it has ever been.report abuse

Keeping our roadways in good condition is one of the primary functions of local and state government.

Yet, our elected officials continue to fail in carrying out that vital responsibility.

Maine is not in a unique position with respect to the sad state of its roads and bridges. It's the same down hee-yah in pennsyltucky.

Politicians talk a good game but when push comes to shove, they continually walk away from their primary responsibilities. And the voters continually forget those failings come election day.

Increasing or enacting fees is not the answer. Getting elected officials to better prioritize their responsibilities is.report abuse
