I'm travelling on May 23rd and I'm still nervous about whether or
not I'll be hassled at the airport. Seems like there must be a
better solution to let legitimate citizens board planes with a proper ticket and driver's license than having to be interrogated and patted down and goodness knows what else!report abuse

Just deport the Illegal Criminal Aliens when they show up for a Maine drivers license. The Maine license is like a big magnet attracting Illegals from all over the country. The feds can have a plane booked for Mexico City every day, waiting in Portland. How easy is that.report abuse

None of this exercise would have been necessary if we asked every person who is applying for a Maine drivers license to prove that they were legal citizens in the first place.

Leave it to the boneheaded legislators and a misguided governor to continually make the wrong decission at every curve in the road.

Every illegal alien in the US is a law breaker from the getgo. We welcome with open arms those who follow the rules and immigrate to the US.

We should treat all of those who sneak in at minimum as intentional criminals bound on exploiting our municipal and social services without having to pay for them and at worst, intent on additional criminal activity and perhaps to harm American citizens.report abuse

Come on folks! Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap needs to do more that wallow in his issuance of Loon Plate Number One to, you guessed it, himself.

Common, Mr. Secretary. You served in Legislature.
Your clout with the Dems who elected you should prove effective in the resolution of this ongoing issue and problem. Thanks for earning your keep.report abuse
