When you use the word "relationship" in connection to any word, you imply a responsibility, to varying degrees, on behalf of both parties spoken of. When used in the case of rape, molestation, assault or other crime, it implies that the victim is somehow engaging in or allowing the act to take place. It is about time that media and others got a lesson in calling a spade a spade and stop suggesting that victims of crime are somehow causing it to happen because the have a "relationship" of some kind with the act or perpetrator of the act. It is a mistake that is repeated in these papers over and over and makes me sick.
If this kid was being raped since age 8-9 years old by his mother, then it is understandable that his rage became such that he could not tolerate her anymore. Add to it that this mother was invading the personal relationship he had with his fiance and it is an automatic recipe for this outcome. I wonder where the child protective workers of the Department of Human Suffering were when he needed them?report abuse
