And the General's report deserves no heat for its coached and prepped performance in a land of chaos served up on criminal pretense?report abuse

A thought for you Pennys,

Having grown up among the stars (two, three, and four) I am confident that General Petraeus does not suffer the same indignation you feel. While many of us found the MoveOn ad (at the time leading up to the general's testimony before congress) "over the top" and in poor taste, nonetheless it raised important and legitimate concerns. General Petraeus would be among the first to defend such freedom of expression.

MoveOn.org is clearly anti-war in Iraq. The Collins' campaign involvement in the ad derogating them was also "over the top", in poor taste, and most seriously from the descriptions, a lying pack of distortions sanctioned by a U.S. Senate Campaign (and by implication, by the Senator herself.)

I have checked out the MoveOn.org website. Sure, overall membership supports liberal and progressive positions on a host of issues. But, apparently unlike the vantage from where you are, I don't see a commie behind every tree; just responsible, concerned, and engaged citizens who happen to see things differently from you.

Susan Collins lost my vote with her "dirty tricks" campaign. MoveOn won't get any contributions from me for some of their silliness.

I'm going to make my contributrion directly to the Allen campaign.report abuse
