Michael Duguay is quoted as saying, "The question you have to raise, not just for Augusta but every community, is 'Are you going to be ready for it?' "

As a member of the vanguard of the baby boom, I can say that no one will be ready. The elementary schools weren't ready for us, even though they had 5 years from when the birth rate started to grow to when those children would be entering school to get ready.

The elementary schools weren't ready for us, the high schools weren't ready for us, the colleges weren't ready for us, and the workforce wasn't ready for us. I doubt that Social Security as well as housing will be ready for us, either, as we move from the workforce into retirement.report abuse
