Comment on lower fixed income people, most live in subsidized housing and these units do not allow antennas to be put on the out side of their buildings. Some home work assignments are to watch certain shows for feed back on diplomatic debates, or cultural aspects for a project. They however should only be getting basic which gives them at least six channels the teachers have them watch and do drafts. I do however feel that the promise they made when purchasing Adelphia and lowing the prices was a big disappointment we actually paid more for the same channels, and the cable internet Road Runner is 20% higher than Adelphia. Where were the savings and now they want more. The working people can't go up to their boss and say hay its costing me more to come into work due gas prices and cost of living is getting to high, so I am telling you I need an increase in pay to meet the needs/service required for people we serve. If each person was on Cable TV and Road Runner internet at a price of one package 124.95 per 100 customers that is 12,495 per every 100 clients, that is not included extra packages and even now they have telephone service packages. So think of it as this; if Augusta, has 35,000 people purchasing and all of them are on basic and road runner that is a profit of $4,373,250 Thats a lot of money for only one City. I would like to see their charts and budgets ratios with increase cost ratios and depreciation of operating expenses for determining upping the prices for services rendered.report abuse

Bob of Capital area hit the nail on the head.

As bad as Time Warner seems, they are still better than the long term commitments which are required for Satelite service.

Some of the replies I read here remind me that most commenters here are just like a Slinky...absolutely worthless but still bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.report abuse

Cable? Dish network? What are those? I have good old rabbit ears. Of course, thanks to the Feds, I'll have to either buy a new, more expensive digital set or get a converter box.report abuse

Maybe citizens could revolt by not purchasing cable. Who says we have to have it? We can still read books, entertain ourselves, sing in the shower, go for walks outside, or sit in the sunshine of a window and think about the meaning of life. Why do we have to have our free time choices dictated to us by outside, financially-motivated sources?report abuse
