It is possible some of the judgement may be collected from Raymond Melville. He did own real property when he lived in Augusta and one would assume he still has some equity in property somewhere. Back in 1997 he sold a home owned by him to an Augusta Police Detective. (as per Kennebec County Registry of Deeds)report abuse

I do recall the words of Jesus Christ, "Beware, for many will come in my name." His words should be remembered by all who follow Him. These creeps who use the Church to access victims (children and adults alike) are among those our Lord warned us about. Let us always recall His admonition.report abuse

No, you won't find Raymond Melville's name on a sex offender registry. And you won't find John Shorty's name on one, either. Their fiendish deeds were covered up not only by Bishop Joseph Gerry and his predecessors, but by law enforcement and prosecutorial authorities in the Augusta area. No one wanted to offend Catholics (a large percentage of voters as well as well-connected civically) in central Maine. Now it is all coming out. Even the name of Fr. John Curran (many of you cross his bridge each day) has now been tainted by the truth finally coming out. And more will come out. Men and women who have borne the hurt and shame for decades are coming forward with the truth that will heal them and expose the reality of the disgusting acts by supposed men of God.report abuse

The Catholic Church will throw a little money his way and then he will be a victim AGAIN. Never any apology, never any REAL justice for these "priests" who demand to be called "FATHER" a name that is reserved for men who love their children and keep them safe. When they stand before God.............report abuse
