Single party health care would put us on par with England. Finally we are hearing from Canada and England that socialized medicine forces you to wait months for treatments of a serious illness that should have been started immediately. People are dying waiting to be treated for "free".
Canadian mothers with difficult third trimester pregnancies are flocking to the States to pay for services not available in their country...and we were told how good their medicine is.
Finally, we geographically isolated Mainers have no idea just how bad hospital emergency rooms have become, flooded with illegal aliens seeking and receiving free health care that we all pay for with our ever increasing health insurance rates. This is the case right next door in Boston hospitals.
Long waiting periods for medical treatment, higher overall medical costs (Canadians hand over half what they make in taxes) and illegals stepping to the front of the line for social welfare without having to pay in.
This time you should vote with your pocket book or at least a few strands of common sense when considering your next congressman.report abuse
