I to want to thank you for this article. Many people are not aware or understand the job we do in parenting are foster children. Many who have been in my home have question why I do what I do... Raising my own children could be trying at times. Raising the chilren I have now with their many and varied needs is even more so. I do it because they deserve to have and to be loved. They are the adults of tomorrow. They to will be are leaders. I pray that our governor and our goverment does not make these children suffer any more than they already have.report abuse

This article reads as an advertisement to force abortions on the idiotic unqualified parents in this state.

Other than that, I got nothing out of it.report abuse

At 1:00PM, Friday, February 1 in Room 228 at the Statehouse the committees for Financial Affairs and Health and Human Services will hold hearings for public comment regarding the proposed changes and draconian cuts to programs for kids.

Hope to see you all there!report abuse

Mark, Thank you for this this article. It perfectly brings life to the realities of fostercare. As a foster parent, luckily for the State, I love helping these kids regardless of how much the state reimburses me. Although, I can't afford to not have it cover at least the basic costs of caring for these kids. Its unfair and irresponsible of the Governor to cut into the services for the most vulnerable kids in Maine as well as the thankless families caring for them.report abuse
