PLEASE. Any and everything can be dangerous. The amount of time that a child actually handles a rubber ducky (and usually in soapy, warm water) should not create any danger. Miss Sandra needs to be worried about everyday knives on countertops and doors that slam little fingers. Should we outlaw those as well? Dang, how did us oldies (40's and up) ACTUALLY survive without all the legislation we have now?! I actually remember standing on a ladder that did NOT have 10 different tag warnings on it! I just love the one telling me I shouldn't stand the ladder in frozen manure (seriously!).report abuse

Do we even need rubber duckies? Isn't it perhaps time that we encouraged our children to use their imaginations and their creativity; discourage such rampant consumerism and encourage natural play.report abuse

Rubber duckies are funny...except...
When a container of them fell off a freighter a few years ago they literally travelled around the world, even under what is left of the polar ice cap, and became a marker to learn about sea currents. But did they melt away or disintegrate?
Never. Archelogogists 4000 years from now may well call this the "Duckie Era."report abuse
