Why is it people seem to fear freedom, and want the liars, swindals, and cheats that we have had in office to remain in office? It totally boggles my mind that people would seem to embrace the government controlling their lives. I for one am tired of the government telling me what is safe for me to do, to eat, to drink. Telling me that this is good for me. Let me decide for myself.report abuse

"By returning to the Constitution all the Amendments go. No freedom of the press, or assembly, or religion. No protection from illegal search or seizure, no equal protection. They are all gone."

Jonanthan,

What are you saying? The amendments are part of the Constitution. When has Ron Paul EVER said he would disregard ANY of the amendments to the Constitution? More importantly, HOW would he ever bypass any amendments without the cooperation of the Congress and courts?report abuse

Don & Pam are repeating the fiction that liberatarian revisionists like to try and sell that the Constitution only gave the Federal Government power to regulate "trade and commerce" and that all other powers were delegated to the States. Nonsense. Read the document. The Constitution required the Congress to "provide for the (national) defense and general welfare (of the country)". The Constitution in several places gave the Federal Government the power to do what was necessary to accomplish these roles. The Constitution also in many way endorsed Slavery.
By returning to the Constitution all the Amendments go. No freedom of the press, or assembly, or religion. No protection from illegal search or seizure, no equal protection. They are all gone.
Ron Paul is the most hostile opponent to our Constitution, our rights, and our history. He is not a conservative. He is a radical who would tear this country apart.report abuse
