So what, I'm confident that from 2002 to 2008, everyone probably thought that Patricia Coty was doing a fine job as finance administrator, but guess what!!!

Just because government employees "appear" to be doing a fine job doesn't automatically mean that they are honest and trustworthy human beings.

Hell, shortly after the stock market crash of 1929, Al Capone opened soup kitchens and arranged for local merchants to give away food and clothing to needy people, at his own expense. Did that make him any less of a racketeer? No way.report abuse

More words of wisdom oozing out of West Gardiner...

While this one greedy, dishonest lowlife was lining her pockets, the rest of the folks working for the municipality were keeping the city clean, educating kids, plowing roads, putting out fires, removing trash, providing public protection, running the library, etc.report abuse

I think that she is getting off too easy. Although sending her to prison may not be in the best interest of the prison system due to overcrowding and such, just think for a moment about the message this is sending to anyone else contemplating a similar distribution of public funds.report abuse
