Airline troubles?
Everyone has heard rumors about the state of the airline business these days: Airlines filing for bankruptcy, flights canceled at the drop of a hat, and so on.

How will gas prices affect your summer vacation?
A little snow today won't hinder the drive home.
Area law-enforcement agencies reported no accidents this afternoon.
It's about time to say good-bye to winter and welcome warmer temperatures and start planning road trips.

Maine gas prices through the roof
The AAA released new data on gas prices state-by-state, and the news isn't good for Mainers.
According to the most recent figures, released this morning, Maine residents are paying 5 cents above the national average, and an average of 10 cents more than last month.
Though gas prices in the Pine Tree State range from $3.11 to $3.44, the average is hovering at $3.21, which jumped from $3.11 in February.

We’ve been featuring lowest gas prices from time to time, thanks to our friends who run the web site, www.mainegasprices.com. Now you can check out where the cheapest pumps in central Maine are everyday, thanks to some new links we have placed on our web sites.
Check out: the Kennebec Journal or Morning Sentinel gas prices sites daily to find low gas prices and how much a gallon is at the station by your home or office.
It looks like a great commute today, with clear skies and no reported traffic accidents, dispatcher for the Augusta Police Department and the regional communications center said.

Gas prices creeping up
Gas prices in the Augusta and Waterville areas have crept back up after a brief period of prices below $3.
Prices for a gallon of regular are averaging $3.13 today in Maine, according to the Web site gasbuddy.com. A week ago, a gallon ran around $3.05.

Gas prices in Maine falling
The good news is, gas prices in Maine have started to dip below $3. The bad news is, you can only get them if you're in the Bangor area.
Gas prices for our northern neighbors has finally fallen to $2.98, a far cry from the $3.10 and $3.11 we've seen around our area.
For those still looking to save a few cents at the pump, check out these local stations:
$3.07 — Exxon, 183 Capitol St. in Augusta
$3.09 — Dead River, 321 Maine Ave. in Farmington
$3.17 — Citgo, 465 Kennedy Memorial Dr. in Waterville
For the commute home tonight, expect an easy ride. No traffic accidents have been reported in the area as of this afternoon.
